Abstract

The article examines the role of international valuation standards in strengthening the economic security of the state in the context of post-war recovery and integration into the global economic space. It is emphasised that International Valuation Standards (IVS) provide uniform approaches to determining the value of assets and ensure the transparency and predictability of market processes, which are key prerequisites for attracting foreign investment. The application of ISV creates a reliable basis for the valuation of property, infrastructure facilities and losses, which is particularly important for countries recovering from large-scale destruction. The article reveals that the application of international standards creates a uniform methodological basis, strengthens confidence in the results of valuation, facilitates the attraction of international compensation funds, and promotes the development of foreign investment. The paper analyses the compliance of National Standard No. 1 with international requirements, outlines its limitations and the need for further adaptation, in particular with regard to the assessment of losses from war damage.

Particular attention is paid to the European Valuation Standards (EVS), which clarify the requirements related to the implementation of EU law and contribute to the harmonisation of valuation activities within the single European market. It has been proven that adapting the national valuation system to the IVS and EVS increases investor confidence, strengthens the institutional capacity of the state, and contributes to the formation of a sustainable model of economic security. At the same time, it is noted that the effectiveness of these processes depends on the readiness of state institutions, the professional community, and the market to reform legal and procedural mechanisms. It is concluded that the strategic integration of international valuation standards is an important tool for modernising the economy, strengthening its competitiveness and ensuring sustainable development.
