Abstract

This scientific study examines the current trends and problems of modern aspects of combating human trafficking both in domestic theory and in practice, and directly in the context of the full-scale aggression of the russian federation and the threats it poses through its actions. In this work, a feasible characterization of the forms of human trafficking is carried out, an analysis of the domestic theory and practice of combating human trafficking is carried out. In the course of the study, the experience of combating human trafficking was analyzed using the example of European countries, followed by a comparison with the Ukrainian model of combating human trafficking. In addition, during the study, the mechanism of combating human trafficking in the conditions of full-scale aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine was analyzed, and recommendations for optimization of already existing mechanisms were studied.

The main focus of the work is on the systematization of criminal law aspects and mechanisms of criminal prosecution of persons involved in human trafficking. Judicial practices and court decisions related to the resolution of cases in this area are analyzed.

The obtained results of the study make it possible to identify the main difficulties and gaps in the legislation, as well as to develop recommendations for the improvement and effective application of laws in the field of combating human trafficking. The work has practical implications for human rights defenders, government agencies, academics, and other stakeholders working in the field of combating human trafficking.
