Abstract

The article explores the peculiarities of applying artificial intelligence (AI) in the process of enforcing court decisions. It is emphasized that one of the key objectives of digitalizing enforcement proceedings is to reduce the workload on both public and private enforcement officers by implementing an automated system to ensure efficient electronic document management. Accordingly, the future development of the enforcement system based on the use of digital technologies will not only allow for more efficient and prompt execution of enforcement actions but will also increase the level of accountability among Ukrainian citizens before the law. The continuous introduction of new innovations and technologies into the work of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine is an essential component of the modern legal environment and contributes to improving access to justice for all citizens. The relevance of defining the role of AI in the field of enforcement proceedings has increased significantly with the application of such technologies to enforce court decisions and decisions of other jurisdictional bodies. It is underlined that contemporary enforcement proceedings are already unimaginable without the use of information technologies, and further directions for their development should be set in the context of the growing role of electronic technologies in the enforcement of court decisions and decisions of other authorities, both in national practices and on a global scale. The emergence of innovations such as the use of information systems to automate processes and the expanding capabilities of AI have made the work of both public and private enforcement officers more transparent and accessible to the citizens of Ukraine. The implementation of information technologies in enforcement proceedings allows participants to access detailed information online about the progress of enforcement cases, as well as notifications and decisions issued by enforcement bodies. The study concludes that the use of AI in enforcement proceedings will enable enforcement officers to initiate enforcement procedures more swiftly and simplify debt recovery procedures. The expansion of powers for enforcement officers, including the ability to access the geolocation data of citizens’ smartphones, helps improve the search for debtors and increases their accountability before the law. Process automation also contributes to better monitoring and more effective work with debtors, reducing time costs and increasing the accuracy of decisions made. The ongoing implementation of innovative technologies within the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine enhances access to justice for all citizens and strengthens public trust in the judicial system.
