Abstract

The article considers different approaches to defining the concept of "marriage". It is noted that marriage, as a special type of relationship between a man and a woman, is an important legal fact, a guarantee for the formation of family-legal ties that establish the range of rights and obligations of spouses in relation to each other. The problem of legalization of same-sex relations in Ukraine and the institution of civil partnership are studied.
